About
Active AirSource
Explanation Of
Active AirSource Microsoft Flight
Simulator Add On
Program
|
|
AAS
- Active
AirSource is a small stand alone
program that runs while you fly
Microsoft Flight Simulator (FS2000,
FS2002, FS2004). It records and sends data
from Flight Simulator directly to the
AirSource website. This
functionality will allow pilots to
fly and be seen on the Active
AirSource flight board. In
addition, pilots will be able to
increase their v-salary by filing
their flights as "AAS
Certified", since flights are
verified through the program as
"authentic flight time".
Active AirSource (or AAS) runs in
either multiplayer OR single player
mode in Flight Simulator.

Pilots Fly Active
AirSource records
flight data and sends
it to the AirSource
website. It then
displays the Pilots
current flight data
including: altitude,
speed, heading,
autopilot settings,
lights settings, and
much more! A current
map shows where the
Pilots are in real
time. |
AAS
"Splash"
Screen Version
3 is a complete
re-write from previous
versions. AAS now
communicates through
the FSUIPC
module to expand
program capabilities
and future
enhancements. This
uses less of your
computers processing
power, and supports
multiple Microsoft
Flight Simulator
versions. |
AAS
Window AAS
is now resizable with
expandable sections
and can be moved
anywhere on the
desktop or minimized. |

AAS FAQ
Some frequently asked questions
about Active AirSource Program |
Use the add on program in FS2000,
FS2002, FS2004 in single OR multiplayer mode. The only
requirement is that you have a
connection to the internet, and a
registered or free installation of
the FSUIPC
module.
Log in and click once to start and
once to stop the program. It
automatically knows if the simulator
is running, if your plane is
running, whether the simulator is
paused, or slewing, and if you're
flying 1x or 2x, etc. (ONLY 1x
simulation speed is allowed in
Active AirSource verified flights.)
Data sent to AirSource website every
few minutes and displayed on the
"active" AirSource pilots
board. The flight board shows your
current flight plan departure and
destination airports, aircraft,
altitude, heading, speed, ATC
Center, and MUCH MUCH more!
Flights performed and PIREP'ed with
the Active AirSource program earn an
automatic logbook AAS recognition
ribbon and an adder of V$20 per hour
over base pay. Personal flights
performed with AAS have no V$
differences however, flight is
recognized as "AAS
verified" and earn the AAS
ribbon. All AAS verified flights are
recognized as unique because there
is actual proof of flight.
